LOOP is a modular seating system project designed for the Italian brand Moroso in collaboration with Istituto Marangoni Milano Design.

The creative process of this project was inspired by the Loop Quantum Gravity theory, which is still unsolved. The physical concept of the theory is evoked through the geometric base of the single module. This design recalls the fragmented vision of space put forth by the theoretical physicist, Carlo Rovelli. On the other hand, the organic seat represents the underlying concepts of the theory through suggestion. It evokes ideas such as grains of space and connection, redundancy, and multiplicity.

Overall, this project is a creative representation of a complex physical theory that is still unsolved. By incorporating the fragmented vision of space and the underlying concepts of the Loop Quantum Gravity theory, this project creates a unique and thought-provoking design.
